Shot On Super 8

Because some moments deserve a little grain.

There is a very specific kind of magic to physical film. It’s the warmth, the actual grain, and the real light hitting celluloid—exactly the way it did in your grandparents' home movies. It creates a feeling that transports you right back to the moment.

What it actually is

Super 8 is a true vintage motion picture format. Yes, I bring an actual film camera to your celebration—the kind that happily whirs and clicks as it runs. There’s no screen on the back and no instant replay. It's just you, your favorite people, and a beautiful little machine documenting the day exactly as it naturally unfolds. Having spent years in the television and visual effects world, I developed a deep appreciation for the genuine texture, warmth, and unmistakable soul of real analog film.

One cartridge gives us just 3 minutes of raw footage.

This isn't meant to be a traditional, two-hour recording of your ceremony. Instead, it is a curated collection of the most joyful, honest moments of your day. It’s designed to capture the pure emotion—your first kiss, the warm embraces, the epic dance moves, and the absolute best belly laughs with your favourite people.

Is it right for your day?

Super 8 isn't about capturing perfectly stabilized, hour-long recordings with crisp audio. It’s entirely about bottling up the feeling of your celebration.

If you want to see the exact moment your partner tears up, or the way your friends hugged you after the ceremony, this is for you. Super 8 captures those moments in a warm, beautifully imperfect way that feels exactly like a living memory.

Included in Vegas Baby and The Whole Shebang. Available as an add-on to The Elvis for $450/cartridge.

Every Super 8 add-on includes:

  • Live, documentary footage: Zero restaging. I love letting the day naturally unfold and capturing the magic exactly as it happens.

  • The real deal: Professional processing and beautiful, high-res 4K scanning of the physical film.

  • A cinematic highlight reel: A short, beautifully edited film created specifically to be poured over and rewatched on every single anniversary.

The Reality of Real Film

I believe in being completely open about how the film process works behind the scenes. Because Super 8 is a physical medium, a single, three-minute cartridge costs about $120 just to purchase, process, and scan in high resolution. That’s before the care and time that goes into thoughtfully shooting and editing it together. Choosing analog is a true physical investment, and that tangible, hands-on nature is exactly why the final film feels so incredibly rare and special.

It's about the people, not the poses.
